Tips :: Vector Illustration To illustrate a good quality of vector illustration, below are the things that you need to put attention at. * shadow * lighting * depth * stroke * colour scheme The steps are: 1. Prepare a sketch or actual image/photo that you want to illustrate. Do not try to trace but illustrate. 2. Trace the outline first. 3. Playing around with your stroke 4. Put a lighting at the right place to give a convincing look. 5. Make sure the shadow is correct from the where the lighting is coming from. 6. Try not to trace but illustrate. After all this is an illustration. You know what I mean. Most of us for the first timer, they like to trace what they see. And this is not the concept of illustration.
